This academic course is designed for students who plan to attend college or technical school. The goal of this interdisciplinary course is to provide students with a background in the scientific principles and concepts of Environmental and Earth Science in the classroom while examining them with real world experiences. Students will gain a better understanding of their natural physical and living environments and its complexities. In addition to the 3-dimensional classroom learning, students will participate in a variety of laboratory activities and projects. Topics covered in this course focus on the four earth spheres (biospheres, hydrosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere) and the human impact on these spheres. Evaluations will be based on classwork, tests and quizzes, oral and written reports, laboratory activities and write-ups, and projects.

This demanding course is designed for motivated students who plan to attend college for science-related studies. It is designed for the student who wants to be challenged. As with CP Earth and Environmental Science, the goal of this interdisciplinary course is to provide students with a background in the scientific principles and concepts of Environmental and Earth Science in the classroom while examining them with real world experiences. Students will gain a better understanding of their natural physical and living environments and its complexities. In addition to the 3-dimensional classroom learning, students will participate in a variety of laboratory activities and projects. Among the topics covered in this course are natural earth resources (with human impact), agricultural systems (with environmental solutions), watersheds, environmental sustainability (with justice). Evaluations will be based on classwork, tests and quizzes, oral and written reports, laboratory activities and write-ups, and projects. All students who enroll in this class must complete a preliminary assignment to be prepared for the start of this course.
