Contemporary Literature is a course designed to expose students to types of literature that reflect cultures from around the world, sheds light on historical events/movements, and creates connections between real world events and literature. In addition to reading novels and short stories, students will focus on literary concepts related to all reading levels and genres. Formal written assignments will be integrated into the curriculum focusing on basic writing skills.
This course will count as an English Language Arts elective.
