Notifications keep you informed about what matters to you.
There are two types of notifications that you can subscribe to on Opus Compliance Cloud:
1. Events Notifications - alerts to important events such as accidents logged or corrective action created. You can receive these notification in-system alone or via in-system and email.
2. Task Notifications - in system alerts to things like task updated or assigned or the creation of any new tasks (if you have opted in to). This includes any event notifications you have subscribed to.
Important - you must actively opt-in to receive email notifications, they cannot be automatically setup for you.
For users managing multiple sites, subscribing at the highest accessible level is recommended. If you do this you will receive notifications for the site you subscribe to and all sites beneath it.
If you want notifications at just some sites, then just subscribe separately at each one.
Important - if you change site access for a user, they'll need to re-subscribe to notifications at their new site.
From your site inbox, click on the ... more options link
Then click on Subscriptions:
You will be taken to the subscription page showing a list of things you can choose to be notified about. The selection of things available depends on the report templates your organisation has configured, so your list may vary.
For each individual event or task, you can select to get a notification in-system (bell icon), or by email (envelope icon) and in-system.
To select to get a notification, use the dropdown menu to select the minimum severity level you are interested in - you will be notified of any event or task of that level of severity or higher. If you are unsure, select 'Always' to be sure you don't miss anything.
Select 'Never' to stop getting that kind of notification for that type of event or task.
Don't forget to hit save!
Note - you will get notifications for historic reports if they are subsequently updated with labels which match the notifications you have selected.
You can choose to get in-system notifications for any new tasks added to your site. This includes scheduled reminder tasks such as training and monthly checks due.
To opt in select Always for the 'Anything Option':
Note - there is no email option for 'Anything' as we don't want to drown you in separate emails for each individual new task.
If you want to get a summary email notification for all new tasks - make sure you follow the steps in the 'Digest Emails' section below.
If you are a manager and you have already subscribed to all tasks at your site, there is no need to add this as you will get the notification as the task lands in the site inbox.
Click your profile on the top right.
Check the 'Stay in the loop' panel in the bottom right.
If you are not subscribed then you will be informed here.
Click on -> Subscribe to...
Change the dropdown under the bell to 'Always':
Then click on 'Save changes'
This will give you in system notifications.
To get email notifications for new tasks in your employee dashboard you will need to turn on the Digest Email.
If you have not turned this on, the 'Stay in the loop' panel will now suggest this as a next step.
Click on -> Enable digest e-mail and opt in to Daily (recommended) emails.
Don't forget to save!
On the 'My Subscriptions' page, you can opt to receive a summary email of any unread in-system task notifications.
Task notifications include:
Updates on specific tasks that you are a participant of - either by creating the task or by commenting on them.
Where you have subscribed to get event notification email alerts for that type of task.
If you have turned on task notifications for any new task you will see these here.
Task notifications are show in system via the bell icon:
The Digest email allows you to get a Daily or Weekly round-up via email of the notifications which are unread in there.
You can enable your Digest Emails via this link to your subscriptions page.
To learn more about Task Notifications click here.
Note - The timing for your digest email is determined by when you save your setting; you will be emailed at the same time of day at which you saved the setting, and on the same day of the week if you selected Weekly emails.
e.g. If at 11am you save your choice to be emailed Daily, then you will be emailed daily at 11am. If at 2pm on Monday you save your choice to be emailed Weekly, then you will be emailed at 2pm each Monday.
To change the scheduled day or time, turn the digest email off, and then turn it on again at your desired time.
Click your profile on the top right.
Choose "My Subscriptions" to see which notifications you are currently subscribed to.
