Notifications keep you informed about what matters to you.
There are two types of notifications that you can subscribe to on Opus Compliance Cloud:
1. Event Notifications - alerts to important events such as accidents logged or corrective actions created. You can receive these notifications in-system and also via email.
2. Task Notifications - in system alerts to things like task updated or assigned or the creation of any new tasks (if you have opted in to). This includes any event notifications you have subscribed to.
Choose and select where in your site hierarchy you want to subscribe.
Important note for multi-site structures: When you subscribe at a site, you will receive notifications for that event at the selected site and all sites below it. As an employee with access regionally/company wide, it is important to select the site of subscription carefully.
Example 1
Subscribing to incidents at Region South (in the below example) notifies you of incidents at Region South, Brighton, and Reading.
Example 2
Subscribing to incidents at Leeds (in the below example) notifies you only of incidents at Leeds, as it has no child sites.
Example 3
Subscribing to incidents at Demo Company (in the below example) notifies you of all incidents across all sites at the company
Once you've selected the site and are on the site inbox page, select the more options button (...) at the top and then select Subscriptions.
You will be taken to the subscription page, which displays a list of items you can choose to be notified about. On the left, the page lists the types of tasks or events that may occur on the site. On the right, there are two columns with dropdown options.
The first subscription column, highlighted in orange, controls in-system notifications. Any subscriptions configured in this column will appear only as notifications via the in-system bell icon.
The second subscription column, highlighted in green, controls email notifications. Any subscriptions configured in this column will be sent to you by email.
Highlighted in pink is the Anything option. You can use this option to get in-system notifications for any new tasks added to your site. This includes scheduled reminder tasks such as training and monthly checks due.
When you're ready, use the dropdown menus to select the minimum severity level you are interested in - you will be notified of any event or task of that level of severity or higher. If you are unsure, select 'Always' to be sure you don't miss anything.
When you're happy with your subscription setup, click Save changes at the bottom
If you are a manager and you have already subscribed to all tasks at your site, there is no need to add this as you will get the notification as the task lands in the site inbox.
Click your profile icon on the top right.
Check the 'Stay in the loop' panel in the bottom right.
If you are not subscribed then you will be informed here.
Click on -> Subscribe to...
Change the dropdown under the bell to 'Always':
Then click on 'Save changes' at the bottom, This will give you in system notifications.
To get email notifications for new tasks in your employee dashboard you will need to turn on the Digest Email.
If you have not turned this on, the 'Stay in the loop' panel will now suggest this as a next step.
Click on -> Enable digest e-mail and opt in to Daily (recommended) emails.
Don't forget to save!
On the 'My Subscriptions' page, you can opt to receive a summary email of any unread in-system task notifications.
Task notifications include:
Updates on specific tasks that you are a participant of - either by creating the task or by commenting on them.
Where you have subscribed to get event notification email alerts for that type of task.
If you have turned on task notifications for any new task you will see these here.
Task notifications are show in system via the bell icon:
The Digest email allows you to get a Daily or Weekly round-up via email of the notifications which are unread in there.
You can enable your Digest Emails via this link to your subscriptions page.
To learn more about Task Notifications click here.
Note - The timing for your digest email is determined by when you save your setting; you will be emailed at the same time of day at which you saved the setting, and on the same day of the week if you selected Weekly emails.
e.g. If at 11am you save your choice to be emailed Daily, then you will be emailed daily at 11am. If at 2pm on Monday you save your choice to be emailed Weekly, then you will be emailed at 2pm each Monday.
To change the scheduled day or time, turn the digest email off, and then turn it on again at your desired time.
