Briefings are a way of recording ad hoc informal training such as tool box talks.Ā They are similar to normal training records but have no schedule. They have a free text name, allow multiple staff to be selected and allow one file (usually a sign off sheet) to be uploaded against all of them.
If the record you are adding is compulsory and you need all staff or certain roles to have this, and to be able to identify any gaps across your employees, then this should be added as Role Required Training not briefing.
Follow the steps below to create a Briefing:
From the site inbox page click the 'Switch to Manage Mode' buttonĀ
Select the 3 dots menu in the top right
From the menu that appears, select "Briefings & Sign-off sheets"
Hit the '+New' button at the top of the page.
Select '+Continue' under Briefing
Input the name of the briefing (the name of the training given)
If desired, bespoke the configuration of this briefing further by customising the other options such as Severity and Submit interval.
Now add the file (usually a sign off sheet)
Then select the participants via role or individual employee
Then click 'Save Briefing' at the bottom of the page
You will then see the Briefing record has been created:
You can see what Briefings an employee has been involved in on their employee record page at the bottom:
