How to subscribe to a Discussion Forum on Moodle

Subscribing to a forum allows the student to receive notifications when a new post is uploaded to a forum. The guide below will help you with this process. 

Step 1: Log in to Moodle using your MyNaz username and password.

Step 2: Click on the course title from the Dashboard to open and view your course.

Step 3: From the course page, click on the title of the discussion forum to open and view the conversation. 

Step 4: Once you are in the forum, click manage forum subscriptions.

Step 5: Click the switch to update the setting from "No" to "Yes."

Step 6: Forums have different email notification options. Click the question mark icon to review the options.

Step 7: Click the drop down menu below the header, Email digest type, to change the notification. 

Step 8: Click on the Email digest type.

Step 9: Once finished, click the title of the forum to return to the discussion thread. 

Note: Once subscribed to a forum, an alert will appear at the top of the page.
