Statement of Problem

Two improvements

• I would add "supporting images that demonstrate the nature of the problem and where it occurs" as said in the rubric. According to the clarifications section of this strand, supporting images in the problem statement are required and the sample given does not have any.
• I would add more details to the explicit problem declaration. The statement says the problem, however I feel that it should be in more depth to clearly convey to the reader exactly what the problem is.

Design Brief

Two improvements

• The design brief should add a bit more detail in how the design will block environmental distractions.
• Though it is not required, I would add a visual to explain research that influenced the design brief.

I rate this strand as High.

Design Specifications

Two improvements

• The Design Specification did not properly address "Quantity" in the design specifications. It was addressed, but not in a great level of detail.
• When research, interviews or outside sources were referenced, there should be a formal citation to indicate this reference. There were informal references to the sources used but there should be a higher level.

Overall Score

Based on my evaluation of the Criteria A given, I conclude that said Criteria A should receive a score of 8 out of 9. The problem statement did not include visuals(which are required) and I marked the sample down from high to medium in that one area. I came close to doing the same in the design specifications section, but came to the conclusion that the errors were minor.
