My first project is the completion of the gear reducer project. I have decided to my self that my endpoint would be motorizing it so that it can move like a windmill. I do not believe this objective is hard. I will have to learn how to slow motors down. I already have a good gear ratio, so now I have to utilize this gear ratio by transferring from a hand crank to a controlled motorize system.
The second project I would like to complete the Smart Phone "Arduino" Switch. This project was orginally called the smartphone light switch but I bet I could use this to turn on and off systems that are connected to arduino circuits, which I think is a really cool idea. This project is a B rated project and it is rated A+ in terms of community service, but the real reason that I want to do this is because I want to refresh my knowledge on arduino. Plus, I have never done a project including bluetooth. Fab Lab is all about learning what we may need for the future, and using bluetooth to communicate from a smartphone to an appliance is necessary knowledge.
The third project I would like to complete is the Raspberry Pi weather station. I have never accomplished a raspberry pi project before and I would like to learn this as it is a huge part of this field. It is B Rated in difficulty. I started a project like this one last year, to no avail. This is one of the only fields I have not yet tapped into in my career in the fab lab and it is time to do so.
