S3 w/2 8/29/16-9/16/16

I printed my bust one time and it didn't work. The eye didn't look good and the hair didn't finish. So I filled the eye in meshmixer by using the select tool and erasing the eye and then in analysis-Inspector-auto-fill and filled the eye. Then I tried to print it and Mr. Moss told me that it wasn't flat. So the next time, I used the lay flat feature in makerbot before exporting the print file. Then it finally worked and did great.

Now I wanted to create a mug with a head. The 3D Bust/Mug. So I went back to meshmixer and used the plane cut feature to cut everything below the head out. I later exported to 123D and made the head ten times bigger then it was before. I created a mug by creating a cylinder 145 mm by 85 mm by 85 mm. Then I created another mug that was 140 mm by 80 mm by 80 mm. I put it in the cylinder and used the subtract tool. In hindsight, I think I made the mug way too big but you can make it whatever size you want just make sure there is 5 mm between the base and hole in the mug. And there should be 5 mm from the sides as well. So, to continue. I made another cylinder 145 mm by 85 mm by 85 mm and created a torus and used the subtract tool to make the handle. Then I moved the handle to the right place on the mug. I used the align tool to get the face aligned and superimposed it with the mug. I made a cylinder the size of the hole and used the subtract tool to get rid of the middle of the face. I put the rest of the face around the mug and it looked really good. I did some further aligning and I used the fillet tool to round the edges of the mug. I made the side of the face to high so people really couldn't drink out of it but you should get rid of the excess to high so the drinker can drink properly. I moved the face down and did a plane cut to get rid of the chin so the hair could stay otherwise it would look really bad. Then, I exported the file to stl format, formatted in makerbot and then exported the file and it is currently printing. I think that I made the mug too big and I wish I could have shrinked the width to 70 or go mm and the height to 120 or 100 mm. Also, I think that the print would have been a little less messy without supports. I probably could've designed a version without supports but the print would have likely failed.
