There really weren't any debug errors. The hardware was pretty simple and easy to replicate and the code was straightforward. I honestly didn't know that arduino could test for voltage. I think it is pretty cool.

Holding up the wires to the coin cell battery to let the arduino test whether or not the battery is fresh or stale.
The battery was a fresh battery so the light turned green
The battery was stale and therefore did not have enough voltage
for the green LED to light up.
