I have chosen three projects to do this trimester in Design Thinking ll Honors.
My first choice is the 3D Bust/Mug. This is my first choice and the first project I will be doing this trimester. It is rated C in difficulty and I look forward to doing it because taking pictures of things and then transferring them into models to be later be printed is really cool and it is a skill I wish to develop and hone during this class.
My second choice is Laser Cutting puzzles from 3D Models. I would like to do this because I personally have never laser cut anything before I would like to learn my way around a laser cutter just as I have around a 3D printer. This is rated C in difficulty. I would also like to learn laser cutting because it would increase my skills in tinkering. To attach the pieces of cardboard together and stuff like that.
My third choice is Bling Up Your Fab Lab - Better Public Access to Fab Lab Tools. This is my third choice because it is not as appealing ot me as the others are but still sound pretty cool. The only reason this one is on my list is because I need to be very creative in designs for a project like this and I want my creativity to grow and grow.
A month after this was written
I really don't want to do Bling Up your Fab Lab - Better Public Access to Fab Lab Tools so instead, I decided that I wanted to take a rushed course of laser cutting. And for Laser Cutting from 3D puzzles, I was doing Hogwarts but could probably change it to a puzzle or maybe change the project entirely. I was thinking Speed Reducer (turn a shaft at the rate that grass grows) or Jack-in-the-Box CAM-toy (Laser Cutter Project for MS, LS Summer Fab Lab)
