This project really did heighten my laser cutting ability. Throughout my years of designing and laser cutting, I had never been able to truly eye ball a design and either replicate or change it. However, I just developed this ability. I looked at the models of typical birdhouses and sought out to make a similar design. And within one to two prototypes, it was done. This project wasn't hard, but I won't go as far to say that this project was easy. Some tips that I would give to next year design students is to think outside of the box. I personally subscribe to the idea of simplicity, but not all kids do or should. Next year's students should think outside of the box.
