Our mission is to commit to excellence, with every learner, every day, in every way. One way that we can do that is to help provide for your child if there is a need for food at home over the weekend. Thanks to the generosity of local organizations who work to serve our Summerside students, we are able to continue our Weekend Food Bag Program as an option for our students in need for the 2023 - 24 school year. If you are interested in your child participating in this program, and receiving a food bag at the end of each week, please complete the linked form below.
We are also fortunate to have local organizations offering Giving Tree and Holiday Food support for the holidays. Please indicate on the following form if you are interested in being connected to these agencies.

West Clermont moving toward top performance as state releases report cards
Today, West Clermont School District is proud to debut its 2022-23 Quality Profile. This annual publication is designed to give every West Clermont resident a more comprehensive look at the high-quality education and services the district offered during the 2022-23 school year. The Quality Profile is a robust complement to the Ohio School Report Card, and includes additional accountability measures that define the high-quality education students receive in West Clermont as we live out our unique Portrait of a Graduate.
Both the Quality Profile and the Ohio School Report Card, which was released by the state yesterday, show that West Clermont has made tremendous progress in ensuring all students receive an excellent education that can lead to success in life no matter their pathway after graduation. This year, West Clermont has leveled up and earned an overall 4-star out of 5-star rating, and the State Report Card finds that it:
Meets the state standards in academic achievement
Meets the state standards in graduation rates
Meets the state standards in early literacy (K-3)
Exceeds state standards in closing educational gaps
Most importantly, our student's performance results provide "significant evidence" that West Clermont exceeded student growth expectations.
“When paired with West Clermont's State Report Card, our Quality Profile offers a comprehensive look at the accomplishments of our students and staff as well as a more complete picture of the well-rounded experience we provide in our schools each and every day. It's our chance to give context to our work as a district ON THE RISE,” said Natasha Adams, Superintendent and CEO.
“We know that a student’s potential is not determined simply by test scores, which is why this profile includes measures beyond the test scores that make up the Ohio School Report Card and seeks to show the complete picture of the total value that our school provides to students and the community,” she added.
Every household across our district will receive a copy of our 2022-23 Quality Profile in the mail this month. In addition, an interactive electronic version is available on our website at westcler.org/qualityprofile.
"Through our Quality Profile, we invite you into the West Clermont story as we continue on our path that's onward and upward," added Jeffrey Riel, Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives and Communication for the district.
School Attendance Matters!
September is National School Attendance Awareness Month! As a community, let us show up together!
Did you know:
Absenteeism is a lost opportunity to learn.
Kids who miss too much school in PreK & KG are less likely to be reading by the 3rd Grade.
Students who are chronically absent in 6th grade have lower achievement than their peers.
A student who is chronically absent in high school is 7.4X more likely to drop out.
Please join us in giving our students a chance and make a real difference in our community!
'Journey of a Wolf' Town Hall Series
Come learn about what it takes for a West Clermont student to be future-ready. Our first Town Hall of the 2023-24 school year is September 28th at Clough Pike Elementary (808 Clough Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45245). Join us at 6 PM! Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot here!
Volume 4 of the WC Roadmap Report is now available! It contains a trove of data from surveys, focus groups, & our town hall meetings as well as what we’ve been doing (or can do) to address the challenges our community has identified. Check it out at westcler.org/roadmap-reports.
Invitation to Tour the Facilities in West Clermont
WHO:
Over the next several months, we encourage all residents of the district to come out and take a tour to learn more about YOUR West Clermont facilities. Prior to some upcoming school board meetings, we are opening our doors to give the community an opportunity to see our facilities and learn about the great things they provide, what we are potentially looking to improve in the future, and learn what it takes to maintain these for our kids and community.
WHY:
Our buildings and facilities in West Clermont are critical to the success and progress of our students. It's a continuous priority to ensure that our learning spaces contribute to educational growth, student and staff safety, and a diversity of programming options. These aren't just buildings, but building blocks for the future of our students. They're also some of the most important assets of our community and they belong to YOU!
WHEN:
Our upcoming building tours are:
October 17 at Merwin Elementary (1040 Gaskins Road)
November 16 at Clough Pike Elementary (808 Clough Pike)
The schedule for each building tour is:
6:00-6:10 PM - Reception
6:10-6:55 PM - WCMS Building Tour
7:00 PM - School Board Meeting Starts
YES! I would like HealthSource of Ohio to send me the permission form for School-Based healthcare for my student.
