Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
#LoveWC Week 2024 is HERE!!!
Our FIFTH Annual #LoveWC Week is this coming week, February 20th-23rd and we want YOU to be a part of it again! This year's theme is "West Clermont: Blazing New Trails!"
Here's how you can join in the fun!
Submit shout-outs to West Clermont staff, community members, alumni, and local businesses or organizations!
Did you know your shout-out is printed and presented to the person or organization? It is truly a gift of words and appreciation!
Show your WC spirit by dressing up for our district-wide Spirit Week!
Roll out of bed on Tuesday morning, it's Pajama day!!!
Share some WC love on social media using the hashtag #LoveWC.
Display the #LoveWC image somewhere visible outside—on your house/building, a sidewalk, a vehicle, well, really anywhere! The more creative, the better! To get you started, here's a DIY coloring page and a letter-sized poster that can be printed.
Encourage a local business to also show their support by displaying a #LoveWC poster!
Want us to send a printed poster home, just email us and we will send it home with your child to display!
Send in donations for our West Clermont families as we join the Give Back, WC drive!
In addition, Superintendent Adams will be giving a virtual State of the Schools presentation during the West Clermont Board of Education meeting on THURSDAY, February 22nd. Be sure to watch the meeting live on YouTube at 7 PM!
We hope that you'll join us for #LoveWC Week 2024!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe
Grade-level newsletters will be updated every two weeks.
Our Discover team newsletter will be updated quarterly.
Happy Valentine's Day! We hope all enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate by sharing smiles and thoughtful sentiments! ❤️
We welcomed local author Jennifer Dickson to Summerside on Monday, February 12th. All grade levels were able to interact with Ms. Dickson and students were captivated by her performance-style storytelling. Descriptions of her books are provided below and can be found on Amazon.
Her visit inspired students to share their ideas in their writing too, exposing them to potential future paths as we work toward our Portrait of a Graduate outcomes together!

2024 State of the Schools Student Learning Exhibition and Arts Showcase
West Clermont is excited to announce our first-ever State of the Schools Student Learning Exhibition and Arts Showcase on February 28, 2024 from 6-8 PM at West Clermont High School! The event is free and open to everyone in our community and will feature students from all of our elementary schools as well as middle school and high school students! The night will begin with an opening keynote followed by student learning exhibition booths, performances by student music groups, and a visual arts showcase! Following the keynote in the auditorium, guests will have the opportunity to explore/visit the exhibition booths, watch the performances, and browse the artwork. During the student learning exhibition booths, students will be showcasing their learning and learning journey and sharing their projects/example work. The Student Learning Exhibition and Arts Showcase is an opportunity for everyone in our community to deepen their understanding of how the West Clermont Portrait of a Graduate comes to life across our district! You won't want to miss it!
Winter Weather and School Closings
As we move into wintertime, it is important for everyone to be prepared in the event we would have to close our schools due to weather issues. We encourage you to check out the article on our website entitled, "How Emergency Weather Decisions Are Made in West Clermont."
