Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
We kicked off our "March Mathness" this past week and WOW - students are SO excited and engaged in their math work! More than 1000 lessons have been completed at Summerside this past week. Keep up the great work as students are completing these at home and school.
Every student who meets their individualized Zearn goal by the end of this month will earn a mini-basketball!
The top learner in each homeroom (the student who completes the most lessons) will earn an indoor basketball hoop!
The grade level with the most lessons completed will earn a set of basketballs to play with at recess and top learners in that grade will get to compete in a free throw contest against the teachers!
Thank you to our PTO for supporting this fun way to engage in math learning!
Be sure to see below for insight into all of the learning, leading, and succeeding happening at Summerside this past week along with the opportunities ahead!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe

CCESC has partnered with The Cook Center for Human Connection to offer a free series of mental-health webinars for parents and educators in Clermont County. All sessions are live and can be signed into anonymously. Sessions take place on Mondays from 7-8 PM on designated dates, and they are facilitated by a licensed therapist with expertise in the topic area. Parents and educators are encouraged to participate in the live sessions, and they are provided the opportunity to seek advice directly from the facilitator. Sessions are also archived and can be accessed as needed.

Mental-Health Needs Assessment:
In order to ensure comprehensive access to care for students experiencing more-significant mental-health needs, West Clermont is partnering with MindPeace (https://mindpeacecincinnati.com/) to complete a stakeholder needs assessment with students, parents, and staff to better understand current needs, challenges faced in accessing services, and potential options for services. Feedback is being sought through both anonymous online surveys and face-to-face meetings. As a parent / guardian, please take a few moments to complete the parent / guardian survey linked here. For parents / guardians of high school students, your student will be invited next week (March 4th - March 8th) to complete the student survey linked here. If you wish to have your student excluded from this survey, please complete this form. All surveys will end March 8th. If you have any questions, please reach out to Eric J. Dool, Director of Student Services, at dool_e@my.westcler.org. Thank you for your input!
