Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
Can you believe we have been in school this year for 100 days already?! Time flies when learning, leading, and succeeding at Summerside!
Summerside was recognized at Monday evening's board meeting in celebration of earning the PBIS Silver Level Award for the work our PBIS teams and entire building implement to create a positive learning environment for all!
Wednesday was our district Kindergarten Information Night for all incoming kindergartners. See more information below to pass on to neighbors and friends.
Friday was the 100th day of school and our annual PTO Girls' Night Out event, a Barbie Bash indeed! See below for pictures to celebrate!
There is still room to sign up for a conference with your child's teacher. If their schedule is full, email or call them to connect with any questions/concerns. See the staff contact info. button above.
Be sure to see our Extended Community Opportunities below for ways to get your child involved in extra-curricular activities, including two new Girl Scout Troops run by a Summerside parent.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe
Shout out to Ms. Lowe's leadership with the PBIS teams at Summerside. Mrs. Glenn and Mrs. Renken are two members of our PBIS team!
#LoveWC Week 2024 is almost here!
Our FIFTH Annual #LoveWC Week is coming February 20th-23rd and we want YOU to be a part of it again! This year's theme is "West Clermont: Blazing New Trails!"
Here's how you can join in the fun!
Submit shout-outs to West Clermont staff, community members, alumni, and local businesses or organizations!
Show your WC spirit by dressing up for our district-wide Spirit Week!
Share some WC love on social media using the hashtag #LoveWC.
Display the #LoveWC image somewhere visible outside—on your house/building, a sidewalk, a vehicle, well, really anywhere! The more creative, the better! To get you started, here's a DIY coloring page and a letter-sized poster that can be printed.
Encourage a local business to also show their support by displaying a #LoveWC poster!
In addition, Superintendent Adams will be giving a virtual State of the Schools presentation during the West Clermont Board of Education meeting on THURSDAY, February 22nd. Be sure to watch the meeting live on YouTube at 7 PM!
We hope that you'll join us for #LoveWC Week 2024!
Grade-level newsletters will be updated every two weeks.
Our Discover team newsletter will be updated quarterly.
Updated for today's Eagle Insight!
We encourage all families to partner with their child's teacher during the fall conferences.

West Clermont Board of Education accepting applications to fill vacant seat
David Schaeff, Board Member, submitted his resignation effective close of business on February 1, 2024, due to plans for moving out of the district. Schaeff stepped in to fill Michele Delaney’s term in October 2023 after she lost her battle with cancer. His previous experience on the Board and knowledge of the school district have added value during this time of transition.
The West Clermont Board of Education has announced that it will consider applications from District residents to fill the vacant seat on the five-member Board. Due to the tight timelines required by law, interested individuals should submit a cover letter expressing their interest in the seat, a resume, and an application no later than 4:00 PM on February 9th. Materials should be sent to District Treasurer, Daniel Romano at romano_d@my.westcler.org, or dropped off at the District Office at 4350 Aicholtz Road, Suite 220, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.
The application can be accessed on the district website or at the front desk at the West Clermont Board of Education Office at 4350 Aicholtz Road, Suite 220, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245 between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3313.11, the individual appointed to fill this vacancy on the Board shall serve until January 1, 2026.
The Board may request an in-person interview on Thursday, February 22, 2024, and expects to fill the vacancy at the same February 22, 2024 regular board meeting.
About West Clermont: West Clermont School District commits to excellence with every learner, every day, and in every way. Its vision is that together as one community, we learn, lead, and succeed. The district believes that together we are ON THE RISE and values strengthening relationships, cultivating innovation, being relentlessly student-centered, and fostering empowerment.
