Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
As we head into Spring Break, we hope everyone gets to slow down a bit this next week, to rest, read a good book, and recharge for the last two months of the school year! Our students have been working hard, and we know you have too, in getting your children to school on time each day, making sure they are well-rested, ready to learn, and supporting their homework completion at night. Spring break allows for a little less stress and time to reset routines to finish strong. Be sure to see below for many celebrations of their hard work!

Parents who drop off their children in the morning, please note they are to remain in their car until an adult is at the front of the line to wave them out starting at 9:15 a.m..
A few of our 4th grade students help 2nd graders with fluency practice each morning.
Our Summerside Eagles earned 30 Super Golden Eagle Eyes! To celebrate, we are sending a Space Science kit donated by CoSci & The Boys' & Girls' Club home with students. Look for these to be sent home soon!!
*The Space Science kit does include some small parts.

Ohio State Testing season begins when we return from spring break. Please support your child during these weeks with a consistent schedule, getting to school on time, and being present each day. The key weeks to protect are as follows:

Fifth Graders: Science, Monday, April 22 - Friday, April 26

West Clermont families and staff,
We are pleased to share that the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced last week that West Clermont School District is a 2022-2023 Momentum Award winner! In addition, West Clermont Middle School and Willowville Elementary also received this same award.
The award recognizes the achievements of Ohio’s school districts and individual school buildings for improvements made on the School Report Card. Awardees must improve their Performance Index by 3 or more points over the previous year’s Report Card and receive a Progress rating of 4 or more stars. Out of over 600 school districts in the state of Ohio, West Clermont is one of only 42 districts to receive the Momentum Award.

CCESC Parent and Educator Mental-Health Series:
CCESC Parent and Educator Mental-Health Series:
CCESC has partnered with The Cook Center for Human Connection to offer a free series of mental-health webinars for parents and educators in Clermont County. All sessions are live and can be signed into anonymously. Sessions take place on Mondays from 7-8 PM on designated dates, and they are facilitated by a licensed therapist with expertise in the topic area. Parents and educators are encouraged to participate in the live sessions, and they are provided the opportunity to seek advice directly from the facilitator. Sessions are also archived and can be accessed as needed.
