Hello Second Grade Parents/Guardians,
This is a very special announcement that we have been invited to do a performance of a few songs from our winter program, “The Polar Express!” The performance will be held in the West Clermont High School auditorium on the evening of Wednesday, February 28th. Students need to arrive at the high school at 6pm and they will take the stage at 6:30 pm. Students should plan to wear Summerside gear or black and yellow.
You will drop off your child in the lower media center across from the auditorium and you will pick them up from the lower media center when the performance is over. We would love to fill the house with as many of our second-grade performers as possible! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience what it’s like to perform on the big stage - it’s also a great way to show off that Summerside Eagle pride! We expect all 2nd grade students will do their best to make it, as this show really was something to be proud of for many of our students and the whole district would love to celebrate it!

West Clermont Board of Education accepting applications to fill vacant seat
David Schaeff, Board Member, submitted his resignation effective close of business on February 1, 2024, due to plans for moving out of the district. Schaeff stepped in to fill Michele Delaney’s term in October 2023 after she lost her battle with cancer. His previous experience on the Board and knowledge of the school district have added value during this time of transition.
The West Clermont Board of Education has announced that it will consider applications from District residents to fill the vacant seat on the five-member Board. Due to the tight timelines required by law, interested individuals should submit a cover letter expressing their interest in the seat, a resume, and an application no later than 4:00 PM on February 9th. Materials should be sent to District Treasurer, Daniel Romano at romano_d@my.westcler.org, or dropped off at the District Office at 4350 Aicholtz Road, Suite 220, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.
The application can be accessed on the district website or at the front desk at the West Clermont Board of Education Office at 4350 Aicholtz Road, Suite 220, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245 between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3313.11, the individual appointed to fill this vacancy on the Board shall serve until January 1, 2026.
The Board may request an in-person interview on Thursday, February 22, 2024, and expects to fill the vacancy at the same February 22, 2024 regular board meeting.
About West Clermont: West Clermont School District commits to excellence with every learner, every day, and in every way. Its vision is that together as one community, we learn, lead, and succeed. The district believes that together we are ON THE RISE and values strengthening relationships, cultivating innovation, being relentlessly student-centered, and fostering empowerment.
