Dr. Archer mentions at the beginning of the webinar, The Science of Reading Meets the Science of Learning (although the content is applicable far beyond reading instruction), that her intention is to confirm the best practices you are already using, remind you of best practices that may have fallen to the bottom of your toolbox, and introduce some new best practices for you to incorporate into your teaching.
During
As you watch, be thinking about those intentions and take notes related to practices you are using and practices you want to begin to include in your repertoire. Also as you watch, complete the structured notes found here. You will need to sign into your masdstudent account, then click "Make a copy" to open your own copy of the note-taker.

Select your favorite motto to write on a post-it (or create something fancier) to hang in a place you will see frequently to remind you of that practice.
Go to this Jamboardand briefly write a reflection on something that resonated with you. Then reply to someone else’s post.
Select one strategy above that you want to put a spotlight on in your practice. In your Individual Professional Learning Plan 2.0, explain how you will incorporate this strategy into your day. If appropriate, include a section for an upcoming lesson plan where the strategy can be used.
