It’s November 2020 (as of this writing) and we are a few months into our hybrid learning model. Hopefully you’re feeling more confident in your remote learning activities than you were last spring. As you begin this module, please take a minute to share something you consider to be a success in terms of remote learning on the Padlet below.

Hopefully you were all able to come up with at least one success story, but it’s likely that not every remote lesson has been so positive. Conversations with teachers over the past few months have often started, “If I could just….[insert really effective in-person practice or strategy here], my students would do so much better with this!”

Often, when something isn’t working, it’s helpful to return to our roots - to revisit the foundational principles that can sometimes be overlooked in the frantic rush to meet new expectations - in this case, the Four Lenses of Learning, as identified by the Penn Literacy Network. Use the resources below as a refresher or for those of you who haven’t had the integrated literacy session yet.
