Release 2026.10.0 delivers significant performance improvements across dashboards, grids, and reports, with fixes addressing data accuracy in NRS table reporting and state-specific reports for MO, KS, MA, CO, and VA. New capabilities include TOPSpro exports for WA and TN programs, custom NRS tables for NH dual enrolled students, and an improved Portal Self-Application exclusion rule that closes a gap in NRS Table 2a reporting.
🚀 General Updates & Enhancements:
Funding Streams Filter for NRS Table Searches LA-22116 — Clients configured with multiple funding stream options will now see a Funding Streams chooser on all 15 NRS Table search pages, allowing NRS Table results to be filtered by funding stream; by default only NRS-eligible (NRS-fundable) funding streams are included, preserving existing reporting behavior, and a callout is displayed when a non-NRS-fundable stream is selected to indicate the results include students outside standard NRS eligibility. Please note: this feature is currently not supported for clients who can select multiple funding streams.
NRS Table 2a — Portal Self-Application Exclusion Corrected (LA-22353) Portal Self-Application students with no qualifying activity are now excluded from NRS Table 2a regardless of how their Overall Status is subsequently changed, closing a gap introduced in the original portal exclusion logic.
Post-Tested Percentage Widget — Now Scoped to NRS Table 4b Participants (LA-18659) The Students Post-Tested Percentage — Early vs. Within Recommended Hours widget now includes only students who appear on NRS Table 4b in the current fiscal year, improving accuracy at agencies that monitor early post-testing rates.
Student Alerts & Desk Review — Faster Grid Load (LA-22352) Dashboard → Student Alerts drill-down rows for post-test eligible students and students with no MSG in the current PoP, as well as Desk Review → MSG Outcomes, now load in under 20 seconds; previously these grids took 2–5 minutes in large agencies.
Student Demo TABE Pre-FY Report — Performance Refactor (LA-22517) The Student Demo TABE Pre-FY report has been rebuilt on a modern stored procedure, resolving timeout failures and run times that had escalated to nearly 20 minutes for some clients; report output is unchanged.
Dashboard Assessment Widgets — Performance Fix (LA-22575) A SQL Server parameter sniffing issue affecting Post Test Percentage Rate by EFL, Post Test Percentage Rate Over the Past Two Fiscal Years, and related dashboard widgets has been resolved; all affected widgets now load in seconds.
Legacy NRS Views Marked as Deprecated (LA-22536) 37 legacy NRS database views that pre-date the Data Warehouse have been marked with a standardized deprecation banner to steer new development toward the current DW tables; no user-facing behavior is changed.
SQL Injection Hardening — Admin Area Services (LA-22538) Four SQL injection code-scanning alerts in Choice Lists, Field Labels, and Grid administration services have been resolved by replacing string-concatenated SQL with parameterized queries and identifier allow-lists.
Burlington English and Essential Education Import Jobs Refactored (LA-22549) The Burlington English and Essential Education import jobs have been refactored from per-agency to per-client scheduling, reducing the number of Quartz jobs per client from one-per-agency to one; integration behavior is unchanged.
Periodic Node and NuGet Package Updates (LA-22579) Routine updates to Node.js and NuGet dependency packages have been applied this release cycle.
Database Restore/Deploy Performance (LA-22582) Local and non-production database restore scripts now enable delayed durability and pre-size transaction log files, eliminating autogrowth stalls during release script application and improving developer and non-production deploy times.
SSO Sign Out Redirect Corrected (LA-22524) The SSO Sign Out link for CO users now redirects to the correct CDE logout endpoint, resolving an issue where the sign-out redirect targeted a non-existent test domain and left users' sessions active until timeout.
Pathway to Career Report — Spanish 2014 GED Results Now Included (LA-22443) The KS Pathway to Career report now includes Spanish 2014 GED subtest results in the High School Equivalency Requirement section for Math and English Language Arts, consistent with standard 2014 GED scoring.
Staff Professional Development Records Now Open for Editing (LA-22544) Staff Professional Development records in the MA instance were timing out after 5–10 minutes when opened for editing; the underlying query has been optimized and records now load correctly.
Totally Summarized Report — Post-Tested Rows Now Respect Student Subset (LA-22442) The "12+ Students Post-Tested" and "Percent Post-Tested" rows in the MO Totally Summarized report now correctly reflect the selected student subset rather than displaying whole-agency totals regardless of the filter applied.
Student Progress by Class Report — Cross-Agency Data Resolved (LA-22537) The MO Student Progress by Class report no longer returns students from unrelated agencies when run across multiple classes simultaneously.
Custom NRS Tables for Dual Enrolled Students (LA-22116) NH programs can now generate NRS tables that include students with the Dual Enrolled funding stream designation alongside standard Title II-funded students, allowing NH to present a more complete picture of student progress for state reporting and funding discussions.
State Report Card — Run on Selection and Excluded Students Note Added (LA-20613) The VA State Report Card now supports running on a student selection when using the State parameter option, and a footnote has been added to the Measurable Skill Gains table clarifying that MSG-excluded participants are removed from Total Enrolled counts.
Workforce Data Trust Export Timeout Resolved (LA-22533) The VA Workforce Data Trust export no longer times out during generation; the student query underlying the export has been optimized.
TOPSpro Export from LACES (LA-22364) WA programs can now export Personnel, Class, and Student Class Status data from the Student grid in the TOPSpro Data Exchange format.
