Release Date: July 17, 2025
This release introduces important updates that improve instruction-level tracking, import inclusivity, compliance reporting, and program-level customizations.
We have enhanced how agencies indicate that students are receiving instruction at the 9th grade level or above.
This update gives programs better control over which students qualify for the “Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Employed or Enrolled in Postsecondary Education or Training within one year of exit” outcome on NRS Table 5.
Key Features:
"Instruction at 9th Grade Level or Above" can now be checked or unchecked within the Student or Class Enrollment window.
The designation can be applied or removed for individual student enrollments.
It can also be updated for multiple students at once using the Update Enrollment feature in the Class record.
The setting is still available during Class Intake, and now it can also be unchecked within the Enrollment window later if needed.
Important Notes:
This update does not override federal rules. Students who assess at ABE Level 5 or 6 in all subject areas continue to automatically qualify for the related outcome on NRS Table 5.
The Class-level "Instruction at 9th Grade Level or Above" setting is still available during intake. However, changing the field in Class Details no longer affects every student enrolled. Individual student designations must be adjusted through the Enrollment window.
