The 2025.6.0 release continues our commitment to performance, usability, and compliance across LACES. This update introduces key enhancements, additional state customizations, and expanded data export fields. Several defects have been resolved, further improving accuracy in reporting and streamlining workflows for both general and state-specific use cases.
All Assessments View – Default Sort Order Missing Last Name (LA-17124)
Corrected a configuration error in the All Assessments > Student Assessment List view where Last Name was omitted from the default sort order. The list now correctly sorts by Last Name, First Name, and Middle Name.
Class and Group Enrollment Filters Not Applying Correctly (LA-21005)
Resolved an issue where filters in the Student Class and Group Enrollment views were not functioning as expected.
Incorrect “No Match” Errors in DRC (TABE) Integration (LA-21009)
Resolved a regression where valid DRC (TABE) assessment records were incorrectly marked as “No Match.” The import process now correctly identifies and imports matching assessments, including pre-existing records.
Incorrect Overlap of Participant and Reportable Status in NRS Reports (LA-20482)
Resolved an issue where students were incorrectly classified as both NRS Participants and NRS Reportable. The reporting logic now correctly differentiates between the two categories, ensuring accurate NRS compliance.
Grouping Added to Student Detail > History > Fiscal Year Panel (LA-20999)
Enhanced the Student Detail view by introducing grouping in the History > Fiscal Year panel, making it easier to navigate and analyze student data by year.
MSG Type 1d Retroactive Logic Updated (LA-20321)
Updated MSG Type 1d logic to ensure it only applies to the correct Period of Participation. It no longer affects earlier PoPs.
Carnegie Credits and NEDP Completions Now Counted Across All PoPs (LA-20707)
Removed a restriction that limited Carnegie Transfer Credits and NEDP completions from prior years to only the first Period of Participation in the current year. These achievements are now accurately counted across all PoPs.
Improved Performance in Frequently Used Areas of the System (LA-20962)
Optimized behind-the-scenes processes to speed up load times and improve responsiveness in the most commonly used parts of LACES.
Enhanced Error Logging for Security Compliance (LA-19405)
Improved internal error logging to ensure that sensitive information is excluded from diagnostic reports. This update reflects ongoing efforts to align with security best practices and protect user data.
Monthly Monitoring Widget Assessment Alerts Updated (LA-20201)
Refined alert logic to prevent false alerts for students post-tested three or more times within six months when assessments span multiple fiscal years.
Colorado CASAS Customization for Low-Scoring Assessments Restored (LA-20894)
Resolved an issue affecting Colorado's custom CASAS integration, which allows assessments with a scaled score of 0 and an undefined EFL to be entered or imported. These assessments now save correctly and display a "Level Not Defined" level as intended.
Northstar Digital Literacy Subject Area Update (LA-21024)
Updated the subject area label for Northstar Digital Literacy assessments from “Information Library” to “Information Literacy” to reflect accurate categorization.
MA Desk Review MSG Outcomes Including ABE Level 6 Students (LA-19206)
Fixed an issue where students at ABE Level 6 were incorrectly included in the MSG Outcomes for Massachusetts Desk Review.
MA Desk Review Missing EFL Completion Rows (LA-19471)
Corrected a defect where EFL completion rows were not appearing in the Massachusetts Desk Review search results for some students within the selected search window.
Additional Fields Added to Washington Student Credential Export (LA-20898)
Enhanced the student credential export for Washington to include additional required fields, supporting more complete and accurate state reporting.
