Release Date: October 1, 2025
This release includes key integrations, compliance-related fixes, and technical monitoring updates. Several state-specific items are also included to support local workflows and reporting accuracy.
As we approach Q4, we want to remind you that LACES supports agency-level SMS messaging with quarterly message allocations. Agencies may also purchase additional bundles. This gives programs a reliable and cost-effective way to stay connected with students while keeping messaging predictable and transparent.
How Quarterly Allocations Work
Each quarter, your agency receives an SMS balance equal to 75% of your Active Student count.
Example: An agency with 1,000 Active Students receives 750 messages for the quarter.
Balances reset on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
If your quarterly allocation is reached, SMS will pause unless additional credits are purchased.
"Test" texts do not count against your balance, and email messaging remains unlimited.
Your remaining balance is always visible in Messaging and Agency Settings.
Purchasing Additional Credits
Additional credits are available at a rate of $0.04 per message.
Each bundle costs $100 and includes 2,500 messages.
Purchased credits never expire and roll over from quarter to quarter until fully used.
Credits can be purchased via purchase order, credit card, or check. Once payment is received, they are applied directly to your LACES instance.
Quotes for additional credits are available upon request.
Looking Ahead
We will continue to explore ways to enhance SMS functionality in order to support your communication needs.
