Fixes/Updates

Assessments

1. CASAS Reading STEPS, CASAS Listening STEPS and CASAS Math GOALS 2 assessments have been updated to allow scaled scores of 0 and result in an Assessed level of "Level Not Defined."  This applies to manually entered assessment records and records imported through an integration with a 3rd party assessment vendor. 

2. CASAS Math GOALS is no longer NRS approved as of 6/30/2024, and may not be moved forward from 23/24 as a pretest for 24/25.

Class

1. Last Name and Staff Keyword are now available on the class search criteria builder. 

Imports

1. The following new imports have been added to all clients/agencies.  Import documentation is available on the User News page at the Imports link in the Common Processes section. 

   • Import Diploma/Credentials (ID Match)

   • Import IETP MSGs

   • Import Integration IDs

2. Permissions have been updated to allow class hours import access for the Adviser I, Adviser II, Teacher I, and Teacher II roles.  This includes access to the All Systems Tasks area for these roles.  

Student

1. Social Security Numbers are now masked.  SSNs may be added at intake but are masked so only the last 4 digits display when SSN is added to a student view or exported from the local agency.  Agency Full Access users may view and edit the entire SSN when the Identification record is opened.  The SSN is read only for all other roles in the local agency, such as Data Entry Clerk I and II.  SEA read-only users are allowed to export SSNs for data matching purposes. 

2. Students were incorrectly getting credit for a 2023-2024 EFL gain MSG by passing a HSE subtest (MSG Type 1d) when the Date Assessed was after the FY end date of 6/30/2024. This has been corrected. 

Reports

1. In the Student Area, in the Report Manager, the report "Class Days, Time and Building/Room - Page by Student" was deleted and and the funtionality merged into report "Class Days, TIme and Building/Room". 

2. In the Student Area, in the Report Manager, the report "Class Days, Time and Building/Room" was modified to include a checkbox parameter allowing the user to select the option of a page break between each student. 

3. In the Class Area, in the Report Manager, the report "Student Attendance Form by Class Title for Students with FY Assessment" functionality was merged into report "Student Attendance Form by Course Title". A checkbox parameter was added to "Student Attendance Form by Course Title" to include "Show student most recent assessment data". 

New Features/Functionality

Class Scheduling is a new feature in LACES! Users now have the ability to create schedules for both in-person and asynchronous instruction. Please find additional information here.
