Discussion: Discuss what the weather is like today. What do you notice about today's whether? How does it feel? Do you think the weather might change?
Introduce/discuss the different weather symbols. Begin to record the daily weather connected to the symbols and language taught on the KWL chart.

Dress Ups - different clothes for different weather. What clothes would you wear for different weather?
Weather recorder (Meteorologists) - iPad to take photos, clipboard to record the weather.
Craft - materials to represent the weather.
Art/Craft - Easels painting the weather /clouds
Read Elmer’s Weather - Have a photocopy of a blank Elmer, design/decorate an outfit Elmer can wear (for a certain type of weather) & put him in a weather scene.
Literacy - Weather books. Have a weather word card on the writing table.
Teachers: During play experiences, use surface (tell me about) deep (why) and transfer (what if) question stems. For example: Why did you pick that item of clothing? Tell me about what you have drawn. Why did you use the colour blue?
