The NAIDOC Poster competition is an important part of NAIDOC Week. It began in 1967 and invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to create amazing posters each year. These posters show important social changes and the evolution of art over the past 54 years.
Winning artists are provided with amazing opportunities to work with big organisations like the Australian Open. They can even get to see their artwork displayed on buses and billboards.
Judging will be on Thursday, July 25th, allowing the first week of term 3 to finalise our 'deadly door'! This year's NAIDOC theme is 'Keep the Fire Burning! Blak (indigenous spelling), Loud and Proud.'
Two winners, K-2 and 3-6, will be announced at our NAIDOC assembly.
