KGH recognise that wellbeing and performance are linked. Improving your ability to handle pressure and to balance work and home life will ultimately lead to improved performance.
You must take responsibility for managing your own health and wellbeing, by adopting good health behaviours and informing the Company if you believe work or the work environment poses a risk to your health.
Any health-related information disclosed by you during discussions with managers or the occupational health service is treated in strict confidence.
If you believe that your work, or some aspect of it, is putting your wellbeing at risk you should speak to your Line Manager.
A referral to the occupational health team may be made if this is considered appropriate after discussions with your Line Manager.
Other measures available to support you in maintaining health and wellbeing include:
Daily rest breaks - please refer to your contract of employment for individual arrangements;
Procedures for reporting and handling inappropriate behaviour;
As a Company, we have the ability to make reasonable workplace adjustments;
Special leave arrangements;
One in four people in the UK will have a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime. While mental health problems are common, most are mild, tend to be short term and can be successfully treated using professional therapies, medication, self-help techniques or a combination of these treatment methods.
Mental Health is about how we think, feel and behave. Anxiety and depression are the most common mental health problems. They are often a reaction to a difficult life event.
At Kew Green Hotels we want you to know - it's OK not to be OK. Did you know that as a business we have a network of Mental Health First Aiders who are trained to listen, to support and to help you get any help you may need? For more information on this please speak to your Line Manager or General Manager.
