Voluntary Work

As a Company, KGH recognise and support you if you are undertaking community or charitable activities including:

• • community care work;

  • environmental work and conservation projects;

  • fundraising for community projects or charities; and

  • the administration of public events

The types of volunteering that will be supported are entirely at the discretion of the Company.

The arrangements that are made to allow you to carry out the volunteering work will depend on the scale and nature of the project. You may be:

• • given an allotted amount of time to carry out work on a project, if linked to a charity nominated by the Company;

  • allowed to work flexible hours to enable you to work on a project, if linked to a charity nominated by the Company;

  • seconded to a project for a set period of time if linked to a charity nominated by the Company; or

  • given unpaid leave, up to a maximum of 3 days per year, if the charity is not linked to the Company.

Any application for leave or amended working arrangements to complete voluntary work should be submitted in writing to your Line Manager.
