By combining classroom experience with real-world projects, this program is for students seeking careers in web development, graphic design, and digital marketing.

To prepare students to compete in the high-tech industry, students learn to both write code for websites (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP) as well as utilize the industry-standard Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Successful completion of this certificate program provides students with entry-level skills for employment in the incredibly diverse web development, graphic design, and digital marketing industry.

MTECH Mobile Development  Certificate

900 Hours 

The Mobile Development Program introduces the fundamental concepts of mobile applications, providing comprehensive coverage of both client-side development. Students will receive the skills and knowledge to build engaging, interactive user experiences on mobile as an iOS developer.

Classroom lecture and hands-on instructions will be provided by full-time industry professionals. Students will gain invaluable knowledge and experience developing with Cocoa Touch, UIKit, Swift, and other fundamental frameworks. Throughout the program, students will complete a series of professional portfolio projects that they can showcase for potential employers when seeking employment.

Businesses continually communicate with employees, customers, and other businesses through printed material, web sites, electronic presentations, videos, and other related media. This program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills to design, create, and publish dynamic interactive web sites using the latest web design authoring software. The courses will provide you with skills to produce professional user-friendly web sites that will incorporate efficiency of design, and ease of maintenance. The Web Site Designer program provides comprehensive training in software applications and skills to prepare you for employment doing web design tasks in a variety of organizational settings. 


SLCC Game Development CP

21 Credits

Students with an aptitude in creative problem solving, drawing, design, photography and/or computer related visual communication should consider this rapidly expanding and competitive field.  The Visual Art & Design Department allows students to specialize in the following areas: Animation, Graphic Design, Illustration, Multimedia, Photography, Web Design, and Graphic Communication Technology.

Students who elect to pursue a Certificate of Proficiency Gave Development will prepare themselves to for entry level work in a related profession. Game Development technical artists find varied careers in the creation of digital 2D and 3D art and animation in the video game, film, broadcast, visual effects, mobile, and internet industries. The Certificates of Proficiency in Game Design or Motion Graphics may be used as stackable credentials for the Visual Art & Design Animation AS or AAS degrees.

The associate of applied science and the certificate of completion in IT Support and Web Development can lead to a rewarding, in-demand career. Web design and development fuses together the design, development, and delivery of rich media content through the medium of the internet to hand held mobile devices as well as desktop computers. The curriculum integrates these digital mediums to entertain, educate, and communicate ideas and information through meaningful human interaction. This program provides motivated and dedicated students the opportunity to work with professionally active faculty members committed to the future of digital disciplines. The Associate of Applied Science in Web Design and Development will provide students with employable skills and a pathway to further education. 

UVU Application Development CP

18 Credits 

The Certificate of Proficiency in Application Development allows employees who do not have a degree to obtain a credential to advance their career prospects. The certificate also allows those individuals who earned degrees outside the computing fields to obtain a credential in Application Development to increase their value to their current or future employers.
