DATC Building Construction Technology Certificate

900 Hours (10 Months)

The Building Construction Technology program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to residential and commercial building construction and remodeling. Includes instruction in construction equipment and safety; site preparation and layout; blueprint reading; building codes; framing; masonry; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; electrical and mechanical systems; interior and exterior finishing; and plumbing.

MTECH Construction Craft Skilled Laborer Certificate

320 Hours

Students learn competencies in managing and understanding resources, information, technology, systems, and interpersonal relations. In addition, they learn to prepare sites, use tools, run machinery and use materials with a focus on safety. In addition to learning from the pages of a book, you will learn directly from seasoned professionals that will show you tips, tricks, best practices and industry secrets that will give you an edge against your competition. 


MTECH Form Builder Rough Carpenter Certificate

324 Hours

You will learn from qualified and respected industry professionals who are willing to share their years of experience to help you advance in your career. You will learn real-world, applicable skills that will not only help you grow in your profession but help your paycheck grow as well.

SLCC Construction Laborer CA

185 clock hours

Beginning carpentry training in print reading, safe tool handling and use, and basic framing techniques in floors, walls, ceiling joists, and roofs. 


SLCC Construction Management AS

64 Credits

This program is designed to teach light commercial and residential construction management and sustainable building methods that address the green building and energy conservation demands of today. It is designed to allow students to transfer into various construction management related programs. The program provides student with an in-depth educational experience in construction management coursework. It is a building block toward a BS degree in Construction Management or related fields. 


 SLCC Construction Management and Sustainable Building AAS

64 credits

This program is dedicated to teaching light commercial and residential sustainable construction methods that address the green building & energy conservation demands of today. It is designed to provide students with a practical hands-on experience in various areas of building construction, interior finishes & cabinetmaking, along with project management and business management courses. 


SLCC Sustainable Building Construction CC 

36 Credits

This program is dedicated to teaching light commercial and residential sustainable construction methods that address the green building & energy conservation demands of today. It is designed to provide students with a practical hands-on experience in the areas of building construction and interior finishes. It is designed to be a building block toward the Construction Management & Sustainable Building AAS degree. 

SLCC Apprenticeship Carpentry Independent Technology AAS

63 Credits 

Carpenters in the Independent program construct, remodel, alter or repair wood in combination with other material structures. Carpenters work with wood products, build concrete forms, platforms, structures and work in conjunction with other trades such as iron workers, brick masons and other craft workers. This program is a competency-based national curriculum requiring that all of the modules and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training be completed to sit for the comprehensive examination for a journeyman’s certificate. Registration and certification will also be provided for those registered by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. 

Apprenticeship Carpentry JATC Technology AAS

63 Credits

The College provides classroom-related and supplemental instruction for apprenticeship programs. Classes are held in the days, evenings, and Saturdays, depending on the program. The College neither provides on-the-job training nor acts as a sponsor for apprentices. Individuals must locate their own sponsors. For individual industry-sponsored programs, students should contact their employers’ training director or the Apprenticeship Office. 

SLCC Apprenticeship Construction Craft Laborer Technology CP

20 Credits, 4000 hours

This is a two year program requiring 4,000 hours of on-the-job training as well as 288 clock hours of related instruction.
