Spring Sports- Our Spring Sports season will begin in February. We will have links to the app for all of our Spring Sports soon. Please make sure your physicals and paperwork are up-to-date before attending the first practice of the season. If you have any questions about your physicals and paperwork status, please ask. The needed forms are linked as follows including a sports physical, concussion form, insurance form, and safety video form. 

Physicals Provided at School- We will be rescheduling the sports physicals scheduled for that were canceled due to the snow day. They will now be on 2/7 and 3/11. If you signed up you should  have received an email with the day your student-athlete will be receiving their physical. Those days are currently full.  We will try to add more days this Spring. It is a requirement that physicals be completed before the first day of participation in JCPS athletics. Boys HS Soccer- Boys HS Soccer is in need of some great coaching candidates for next year. If you have anyone that may be a great fit, please have them email matthew.davis@jefferson.kyschools.us

Boys and Girls HS Basketball- Both teams will be playing CEC on Friday at Brown. All students with a ticket purchase will receive a free Zaxby's sandwich. Boys JV 4:30/ Girls Varsity 6:00/ Boys Varsity 7:30

Swim- Congratulations to our Brown Swimmers for an AMAZING year and an OUTSTANDING meet at the KHSSA Region Five Championships this past weekend at UofL! 

The girls took 8th place overall, the boys took 7th place overall. 

A HUGE shoutout to the Girls' 400-yard Freestyle Relay! Maisie Smith, Lucy O'Brien, Ellie Leonard, and Shelby Geraghty placed 6th in this event, and are headed to Semi-State at UofL on February 8th.

Esports- There will be an interest meeting for the eSports Team after school from 3:00 to 3:30 in room 128 on Friday. Please attend if you are interested in joining for the spring season. 

Middle and High School Outdoor Track- Outdoor practice will start on Wednesday, February 19, from 3:30-4:45! 

Practices will be Monday through Thursday, 3:30-4:30, and held at Shawnee High School (this location is subject to change). Whenever possible , transportation will be provided, from Brown, to practice. There will be a runner's fee of $75. A link for payment will be added to the Band App. This fee goes towards equipment, uniforms, shirts, travel, etc. We cannot support our programs to the level that our athletes deserve if fees are not paid. Our fees are substantially less than other schools. To participate in Outdoor Track, you must have an updated sports physical and all paperwork required by JCPS before the first practice. Middle School Athletics

MS Basketball: Our Varsity Boys team will be playing in the Junior L.I.T. Tournament tonightat 5 pm at Barrett Middle School vs. Barrett. Our 6th grade Boys team will play in the District Tournament 1/30 at 5 pm vs. Meyzeek, and our Varsity Girls will play in the Junior L.I.T. on 1/30 at 7 pm at Iroquois. 

We will recognize all of the hard work of our amazing 8th grade Boys on 1/31 at 7:15 in between the High School Girls and Boys Varsity Games. We really appreciate all of the work our players have done this season and hope they can continue to participate in Brown Athletics.

Girls and Boys Spring Soccer:  Middle School Soccer tryouts will be mid-February. Before tryouts, all students must complete their annual athletic paperwork. Middle School Indoor Track- Congratulations to Keiran Nuss on a great first race of the Middle School Indoor Track season! Keiran placed 8th in the 1600 meters at 5:45.74 and 7th in the 800 meters at 2:36.41. Great job Keiran!
