💛 December 4 | Issue #18 💛
Dear Brown School Family,
As we approach the middle of the school year, I want to take a moment to update you on a few key happenings around our school and share some reminders that will help us continue to work together in support of our students.
We are now almost to the end of the first semester. It’s a great time to check in with your student about their progress and any areas where they may need additional support. Be sure to log in to the Infinite Campus portal for information on grades.
This week we have our Mental Health Fair on Friday. Families and alumni are welcome to visit from 12:30 to 1:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to connect with a provider and also find out what wonderful opportunities in our community are out there to promote positive mental health. Come join us!
The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. We are continuing our efforts to foster a positive, supportive environment both in and out of the classroom. Please help us during drop-off and pick-up by pulling up to the curb before your child exits your vehicle. We have seen several close calls lately in which students could have been injured. As a reminder, we are not permitted to direct traffic or give directions to drivers. Let's all work together to make our school safe before and after school!
Regular attendance is critical for student success. If your child will be absent, please notify the school in advance, and ensure that they catch up on any missed work. Be sure to send in written documentation to the office.
We are seeing a few students without essential supplies. Please check in with your child to make sure they are prepared for the week ahead.
We are so grateful for the partnership between home and school. Your continued involvement makes a huge difference in the success of our students. Thank you for your support, and we encourage you to stay engaged by attending events, communicating with teachers, and participating in school activities.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback. Together, we can make this a fantastic year for all our students!
Thank you for your continued support!
Love,
Dr. Angela
Please remind your child (grades 3-12) to charge their Chromebook every night, especially this week and next, due to testing. They also need to bring their school issued Chromebook with them every day. We have had a major increase in students needing to borrow a loaner Chromebook or a loaner charger from the lab this week. If a student has lost or broken their charger they can purchase a used one for $10 or a brand new one for $25. They can turn their money into Mr. Drew in the lab in Room 220 to get a replacement charger, if needed. Thanks!
Families and alumni are welcome to visit from 12:30 to 1:00 pm!
