Dear Brown School Family,
I am excited to share that we have recently received and installed a brand-new washer and dryer here at school, and we are offering these for use by our students and families in need of laundry services. Whether you're dealing with unexpected challenges or just need a bit of extra help, these appliances are available for your convenience. If this is a resource you'd like to use, please reach out to our Family Resource/Youth Services Center Director, Tara Davis.
Additionally, I hope that everyone is having a warm and productive Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day. Whether you're engaging in online learning, completing assignments, or spending quality time at home, I trust that today is an opportunity for growth and connection. We appreciate your continued support and dedication to making the most of these learning experiences, and we’re here to support you in any way we can.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
Love,
Dr. Angela

Mental Health Practitioner
As we move full steam into this new semester, I wanted to let all of our parents/guardians know that my services are available for students individually with guardian consent. If you would like me to meet with your student to work on any emotional or behavioral goals while at school, please reach out to me, and I will walk you through my referral process. Please also feel free to put any concerns on our student support form! In addition, I know that during this time of year there are often times where students may have concerns about self-harm or suicidal thoughts. A great resource for this is to call 988 or go to https://988lifeline.org/ .
High School Counselor
We are nearing the end of schedule change requests. If you need to meet with Robin, please complete the Schedule Change Request Form by Friday, 1/24/25.
*************************
All students received a booster lesson on mental health and suicide prevention. If you or someone you love is experiencing difficulties with their mental health, you can text or call 988.
**************************
If you are taking a dual-credit course, please make sure you have submitted a dual-credit agreement to Robin in the pedway and that your IC schedule has "dual credit spring on campus" and the name of the class on it (even if it is outside of your typical school day).
**************************
Seniors: As soon as our dual credit partners turn in their grades, transcripts will be posted and sent to those who requested a mid-year report. If you need a mid-year report, please order your transcript in Parchment and send it to Common App or colleges you applied to individually if you did not use Common App and complete THIS FORM so Robin knows to send one.

Next week begins our 23 Days of Kindness Challenge in the middle school. Each day until the end of February students will complete small activities that center around showing kindness to themselves and others. Be sure to ask your darling what they've learned from each challenge!
Spring will be here before you know it, which means promotion festivities are right around the corner. The 8th grade dance is a wonderful celebration of our 'seniors' of the middle school and it is completely parent organized. If you are willing and able to help organize the 8th grade dance this year, please send me an email or fill out the Student Support Request Form as soon as possible. Â
