There are several tuning parameters (variables) built into the Peer Review algorithm which allows the super-admin to tweak the outputs of the algorithm based on observed user behaviour. For more information on the tuning parameters for the peer review algorithm and suggested default values for these parameters, visit the "Peer Review Configurations" page on confluence.
Super-admin users can adjust these parameters via the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal, within the "Peer Review", "Credibility Weighting", "Reviews" and "Patterned Behaviour" settings groups.
**Ruti to remove 'dormant' settings from available configurations in super-admin portal.
As part of the gameplay UX, the system is designed to send automated notifications (within the system) to users, which guide them through and prompt action at key points throughout the challenge.
Super-admin users can adjust notifications via the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal, within the "Notification" and "Suspension Configuration" settings groups.
The default configuration criteria and instructions for configuring system notifications is documented in the "Automated System Notification Configurations" page in Confluence.
As part of the registration UX, the system is designed to send automated communications (Email/SMS) to users, which guide them through and prompt action at key points within the registration process. For more information on how to configure settings for automated emails/SMS, visit the "Configuring Automated Emails/SMSs" page.
Note: Super-admin users can view "Email Template" settings in the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal, within the "Email Template" settings groups. However, these should not be adjusted by super-admin users and should be reserved for editing by the development team only.
Note: Settings within the "Trigger Configuration" group in the "Modules <> App Settings" page allow the super-admin to adjust the time delay before the system triggers associated automated communications.
Language Configurations
Upon registration, learners are prompted to select the languages they speak as part of setting up their challenge profile. Super-admin users can edit the options available for selection in this step via the "Modules <> Languages" page in the super-admin portal
Hobbies Configuration
Upon registration, learners are prompted to select the hobbies they enjoy as part of setting up their challenge profile. Super-admin users can edit the options available for selection in this step via the "Modules <> Hobbies" page in the super-admin portal
Avatars Configuration
Upon registration, learners are prompted to select an Avatar as part of setting up their challenge profile. Super-admin users can edit the options available for selection in this step via the "Modules <> Avatar" page in the super-admin portal
Subjects Configuration
Upon registration, learners are prompted to select the Subjects they study at school as part of setting up their challenge profile. Super-admin users can edit the options available for selection in this step via the "Modules <> Subjects" page in the super-admin portal.
Grades Configuration
Upon registration, learners are prompted to select their current Grade level as part of setting up their challenge profile. Super-admin users can edit the options available for selection in this step via the "Modules <> Grades" page in the super-admin portal.
Skills Configuration
As the super admin user uploads content to the system, he/she can assign skill profiles to each challenge. As learners complete challenges, they build out their individual skills profiles based on their performance and the related skill profile for each challenge. Super-admin users can edit the selection of different skills available to make up these skills profiles via the "Modules <> Skills" page in the super-admin portal.
All of the below can be accessed by super-admin users via the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal.
Leaderboard
Settings within the "Leaderboard" group allow the super-admin to set a future date range for when leaderbaords should be hidden/not displayed.
Locale Setting
Settings within the "Locale Setting" group allow the super-admin to configure the country dialling code related to the instance
Security
Settings within the "Security" group allow the super-admin to restrict/allow system access to teacher and learner users, as well as school accounts more generally.
Points Setting
Settings within the "Points Setting" group allow the super-admin to adjust the points that schools, teachers and learners receive/lose based on various interactions with the system. These include:
The "School Field Points" setting relates to the amount of points schools receive for completing specific fields within their profile.
The "Student Invitation Limit" setting relates to the maximum number of invitations a learner can receive points for.
The "Student Invitation Points" setting relates to the amount of points a learner receives as their invitee achieves different levels of engagement.
The "Bad Reviews Lost Points" setting relates to the amount of points a learner loses should the peer review algorithm determine that they have submitted a bad/inaccurate review.
The "Good Reviews Gained Points" setting relates to the amount of points a learner receives should the peer review algorithm determine that they have submitted a good/accurate review.
The "Teachers Points for Good Reviews" setting relates to the amount of points a teacher receives should the peer review algorithm determine that they have submitted a good/accurate review.
Certificate
Super-admin users can view "Certificate" settings in the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal, within the "Certificate" settings groups. These settings relate to the points thresholds on which learners and teachers should be awarded different levels of certificates. The default configuration criteria and instructions for certificate design is documented in the Certificates page in Confluence.
Patterned Behaviour
Super-admin users can view "Patterned Behaviour" settings in the "Modules <> App Settings" page in the super-admin portal, within the "Patterned Behaviour" settings groups. However, these are currently non-functional (as they form part of a feature which is still to be deployed) and should not be adjusted by super-admin users and should be reserved for editing by the development team only.
