What is the Teacher Portal?

The Teacher Portal is the central hub of information related to Wavumbuzi for teachers. Everything that is communicated throughout the Challenge is uploaded to the Teacher Portal. It’s the one-stop shop for everything teachers need to effectively fulfil their role throughout the Challenge period.

The Teacher Portal is the place where teachers get:

• New updates and announcements such as:

  • Winner announcements

  • Marketing events (Teacher's Club)

  • Updates dates or news

  • Adding new videos

• Marketing Graphics

• Guidance and implementation on:

  • How to activate your school

  • How to track your progress

  • How to earn points for your school

  • Additional Resources

• Key Dates section

Who updates the Teacher Portal?

The Teacher Portal is updated by both the Tech Team and the Marketing Team.

The Marketing Team is responsible for:

• Updating the Home pages of the Teacher Portal which consist of:

  • Home Page

  • Information Page

  • Activation Page

• Updating the Resource Page which consists of videos and training material.

When is the Teacher Portal updated?

For the marketing team, the Teacher Portal is updated on an ad-hoc basis – as and when needed.

During the Challenge period, it often needs to be updated on a weekly basis with new recurring information such as:

Feature Graphic (could be a countdown?)

• Winner announcements

• Marketing events (Teacher's Club)

• Updates dates or news

• Or any other important communications that need to be communicated to teachers

Logging into the Teacher Portal

  • Create your own Prova profile via the registration link
