Overview of SMS

In order to avoid invading the privacy of teachers and learners, the use of SMS communication was used sparingly during registration and onboarding phases as an intervention tactic for important reminders and urgent challenge updates (e.g. Call for students to complete the in-game survey, on the day teacher training reminder, an extension of challenge date).

SMS's are sent via a system called Toky.
