Once the Challenge is complete, the national awards ceremony takes place per country (each challenge has an awards ceremony). The purpose of the awards ceremony is to:
Announce the overall challenge winners (teachers, students and schools)
Acknowledge and appreciate Key Partners
Celebrate the closing of the challenge + all its participants
Get people excited about the next Challenge (and share details about it, if available)
Since its introduction, there has only been one physical awards event for the Kenya 2019 Challenge and one virtual event for the Rwanda 2021 first edition Challenge.
All AGGP team members from that country are responsible for the planning and organization of the awards event - with the Project Manager (PM) leading at the forefront.
By creating a communications plan to distribute the invitations and market the event to the different stakeholders (teachers, learners, parents, principals, partner organizations, government officials etc.)
By distributing all communications via email, WhatsApp, social media etc.
By either designing the material needed for the communications or briefing the designer to do so (for example, the "save the date" and "invitation graphic.")
By creating an RSVP Link + Form
By preparing all the merchandise items needed for the event and liaising with the production/printing company regarding timelines and production of these items. Items include the following:
Managing the social media channels during the event to keep engagement high
