To have an excellent product offering for student users that:
achieves the learning objectives of Wavumbuzi, namely developing the six selected entrepreneurial competencies; and
drives growth in user numbers and engagement based on high levels of user satisfaction and enjoyment
Guiding principles and assumptions that inform how we approach Challenge Content:
Content must appeal to a broad cross-section of secondary school students regardless of differences in geographic location (for example, urban, peri-urban or rural) or socio-economic circumstances (for example, wealthy versus poor users). Wavumbuzi is intended to help all high school students develop their entrepreneurial competencies - not only top performing students.
We want student users to enjoy the content and experience
We face up to the reality that our intended beneficiaries are teenagers transitioning childhood and adulthood who may not be attracted to or convinced by the value of developing competencies; and that the digital entertainment and education options available to students are many and growing. We have to be smart and creative to make our learning material attractive.
