여다함 《녹음 영상》

《녹음 영상》은 여다함이 지금까지 작업해온 영상작업들을 사운드트랙을 중심으로 돌아보는 스크리닝이다. 여다함과 협업한 음악가들은 영상 안에서 각기 다른 비중과 역할로 등장하며 그들의 음악은 단순히 배경에 녹아 지나치지 않고, 영상의 흐름을 주도하거나, 말없이 서사를 지휘하면서 음유한다. 여다함은 비디오 속에서 그들과 함께 세상을 방랑할 수 있었다. 《녹음 영상》에서는 세편의 작업들을 비디오가 아니라 오디오에 주목하여 소개한다.

작가 소개

여다함은 미술 작가로 전시에 참여하고, 퍼포먼스에 출연한다. 여러 소재와 주제를 횡단해가며 왜, 어떻게, 무엇과 함께하는 삶인지에 대한 궁금증을 풀기 위해 노력하고 있다. 2019년 개인전 <기체 액체 고체> 이후부터 사물들이 서로 영향을 주고받으면서 변화하는 모습에 관심을 기울이면서 그것이 작가의 삶에 어떤 의미로 다가오는지를 생각하며 지낸다. 최근 개인전으로 2019년 《기체 액체 고체》 (아트스페이스 풀)가 있으며, 2014년에 에르메스재단 미술상 최종 후보에 올랐다. 2017년에는 아르헨티나에서 진행한 프로젝트 《CONFITE PUNO》의 기획과 퍼포먼스로 참여하였고, 아르코 미술관에서 열린 《무빙 이미지》에 참여했다. 2019년 국립현대미술관 고양레지던시에 입주작가로 선정된 바 있다.

"Recorded Music Video" is a screening program at shhh that looks back at the video works that Daham Yo has been working on, particularly focusing on the soundtrack. Yo and his collaborating musicians played their roles in different ways in the video pieces. Their music does not simply melt into the background of the videos, but leads the flow of it or sometimes leads the narrative without words. This way, Yo was able to wander freely the world with them in the video; for the reason, the three works are introduced focusing on sound rather than video in the screening program, “Recorded Music Video”

Daham Yo

Daham Yo participates in exhibitions as a visual artist or performer. By traversing multiple genres and subjects, he is trying to solve the question; ‘Why, how, and what do we live with?’ Since his recent solo exhibition “Gas, Liquid, Solid” at Art Space Pool in 2019, he has been paying attention to how things change as they interact with each other, contemplating what it means to his artist's life simultaneously. He was nominated for a Hermes Foundation Art Award in 2014. In 2017, he organized “CONFITE PUNO,” in Argentina, and participated in with his performance piece as well. He also participated in “Moving Image” exhibited at Arko Art Center in 2017 and he was a resident artist at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Goyang Residency in 2019.
