本校致力於節能減碳，近年來積極推動各項節能措施，提升能源使用效能並降低碳排放。

在建築與設備優化方面，照明升級為LED節能燈具，空調設備汰換為變頻冷氣機，電梯馬達更新為變頻主機，飲水機亦改為省電型溫熱水機，並同步更換老舊變壓器及高壓站減站。

再生能源方面，配合教育部太陽光發電計畫於105年10月委由苗栗縣政府與太陽光電廠簽約，將兩校區屋頂作為太陽能發電場域，成為綠能典範。

National United University is firmly committed to energy conservation and carbon reduction, and in recent years has actively implemented a variety of energy-saving initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

In terms of building and equipment optimization, the University has upgraded lighting systems to energy-efficient LED fixtures, replaced conventional air-conditioning units with inverter-type systems, modernized elevator motors with variable-frequency drives, and converted drinking fountains to energy-saving hot and cold water dispensers. In addition, outdated transformers and high-voltage substations have been replaced or downsized to further improve overall energy performance.

With respect to renewable energy development, in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s Solar Power Generation Program, National United University entrusted the Miaoli County Government to sign an agreement with a solar power company in October 2016 (Academic Year 105), designating the rooftops of both campuses as solar power generation sites, thereby establishing the University as a model institution for green energy implementation.
