本校在水資源回收方面,目前八甲校區污水處理廠處理後再生水100%進入植栽澆灌系統,進行校區植物澆灌;另國鼎圖書館雨水儲留系統則作為澆灌及沖廁之用,故八甲校區廢(污)水已達到零排放。至於二坪山校區,未來將對該校區立德樓及雙電大樓,規劃雨水回收系統,透過優化智慧水資源管理,充分運用水資源。
In terms of water resource recycling, the wastewater treatment plant at the Bajia Campus of National United University has achieved 100% reuse of treated effluent, which is fully redirected to the campus irrigation system for landscape watering. In addition, the rainwater retention system installed at the Guoding Library is utilized for both irrigation and toilet flushing purposes, thereby enabling the Bajia Campus to achieve zero discharge of wastewater.
As for the Erpingshan Campus, a rainwater harvesting system is planned for the Lide Building and the Double-Electric Building. The implementation will be carried out through the optimization of an intelligent water resource management system, thereby ensuring the efficient and sustainable utilization of water resources.

The surrounding campus area is planted with a variety of drought-tolerant species, including banyan (Ficus microcarpa), fish poison tree (Barringtonia racemosa), Taiwan golden rain tree (Koelreuteria elegans formosana), acacia (Acacia confusa), Chinese hackberry (Celtis sinensis), and lantana (Lantana camara).
