本校於 2021 年與台灣永續能源研究基金會共同簽署《永續發展倡議書》，正式對外承諾致力於校園碳中和與 100% 使用再生能源。此承諾為長期性持續有效之公開倡議，並持續在 113 年度透過永續發展專責單位與節能推動小組執行相關行動，包括能源管理系統升級、節能汰換及再生能源推廣活動等，以實際行動落實該承諾目標。
National United University made a public pledge in 2021 by jointly signing the University Sustainability Development Initiative with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, committing to campus carbon neutrality and 100% renewable energy use. This pledge remains active and continues to guide the University’s sustainability agenda. In FY 113, the University sustained implementation through its Sustainability Office and Energy Task-Force, upgrading the campus energy management system, conducting energy-saving retrofits, and promoting renewable-energy awareness across the campus community.
鑒於2050全球淨零轉型的目標，台灣除了積極發展綠色能源之外，政府亦積極以各種管道協助工業及中小企業用戶降低能源不當使用與損耗，本中心於2016年開始由電機系相關專業老師共同成立節能診斷服務中心(簡稱EDC) 。中心設立的宗旨為擴大本校能源技術輔導能量，透過實戰培養能源相關人才，進而促進各級用戶能源效率提升。
National United University has established an Energy Conservation Promotion and Implementation Task Force, which is responsible for conducting comprehensive energy audits and verifying overall patterns of energy utilization. The Task Force regularly analyzes and compares electricity consumption data to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information, identifies systems exhibiting abnormal power usage, investigates the underlying causes of such irregularities, and subsequently formulates targeted improvement strategies to enhance energy efficiency across the campus.
