依溫室氣體排放來源三大範疇(Scope)，本校範疇一直接排放主要來自緊急發電機柴油、公務車汽柴油、宿舍熱水瓦斯使用；範疇二間接排放主要來自外購電力；範疇三其他間接排放目前主要計算項目為廢棄物委外處理、污水處理及自來水公司供給用水。相關統計，如表1-5。

Pursuant to the three major categories (Scopes) of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission sources, National United University classifies its emissions as follows:

Scope 1 – Direct Emissions: These primarily originate from the consumption of diesel fuel for emergency generators, gasoline and diesel used by official vehicles, and natural gas used for dormitory water heating.

Scope 2 – Indirect Emissions: These mainly result from the consumption of purchased electricity supplied by external power providers.

Scope 3 – Other Indirect Emissions: The current primary accounting items include outsourced waste disposal, wastewater treatment, and water supplied by the public water utility.
