1.1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to supply a detailed description for the Estimate Translator Application, supporting databases and the procedures used to populate it. It will illustrate the purpose and requirements of the system, and explain constraints, assumptions, interfaces and interactions with other applications and systems.
1.2 PROJECT SCOPE
The Estimate Translator Application is intended to allow users to gather estimate data to aid in projecting job needs, including anticipated materials and manpower. These estimates are produced by Accubid Anywhere and are exported in the form of a multi-tab Excel file. The application will extract, transform, and store the data in a dataset used by downstream processes. Downstream processes may include work packaging, import into the accounting system, and feeding conceptual estimating software, to name a few. The Application’s user interface will be web-based.
1.3 USE
The procedure below will only apply to estimates that have a valid SalesForce opportunity number and have been created using either the "One Faith Template" within the Production Database or the "One Vandelay Template" within the Vandelay Database at this time.
