The design of Accubid Anywhere represents a paradigm shift from previous versions of Accubid estimating software. The primary objective of the Anywhere version is to increase speed and accuracy. This is accomplished in Anywhere in many different ways, which is outlined throughout the course of this training guide. Anywhere:
Is Spec-Driven, which means that the estimator can set rules that drive takeoff results. This allows for quick, global changes to be made when value-engineering an estimate (e.g., copper to aluminum)
Is built on Item and Assembly Formulas, which are no longer linear calculations (as they were in Accubid Pro). This allows one to increase efficiency, for example, with Anywhere, one can size feeders by amps, transformers by KVA, motor and equipment connection by voltage and horsepower
Data can be used from project inception to completion. This eliminates the need for data to push or pull from one program to another (e.g., from estimating to change order)
Is a multi-user environment, which allows for many users to be logged in to the same estimate at the same time. This eliminates the need to merge jobs and decreases errors.
Comes with robust security. The system uses Windows login information to verify users. This helps prevent users from making changes to sensitive data. Anywhere also secures the material database, which prevents users from detaching and downloading to a common file format.
Uses a single database, which means one material database is utilized companywide.
Has extremely rich database content, including more than 60,000 more parts out of the box than previous versions.
Has a graphic takeoff allowing estimators and PMs to have a more fluid takeoff process
Has 64 bit technology. Database application with .net technology. It is no longer a file application, it saves automatically.
SQL based which allows data to be shared across applications.
Reporting gives one the ability to create and run custom reports and metrics across projects. Advanced reports also provide the ability to analyze estimate metrics and other data on any scale.
