Removing Items from Takeoff

You can remove individual items from a takeoff after the takeoff is finished. If you are taking off an assembly, removing an item from the takeoff does not affect the assembly as it is stored within the material database.

To permanently remove an item from a takeoff:

1. Double-click the takeoff line within the Takeoff screen’s audit trail.

2. Click the details button on the vertical ribbon of the takeoff or click on the green cross icon. Double-click any of the items from the list of components displayed.

3. Click the item to remove it from the Item Information area.

4. Click the Delete button.

5. Click OK to accept the change and exit the Edit Takeoff dialog.

Note: By doing this, it triggers a re-resolve lock which will protect the change. If there is a resolution error, the item won't be in the estimate and must be fixed.
