Dual Meets
A Dual Meet is when two schools swim against each other. Each pool length (lap) is 25 yards. Events will be swam in the following order (and their approximate times to swim):
200 MEDLEY RELAY (4 swimmers each swimming 50yds of a different competitive stroke (BACK / BREAST / FLY / FREE). (about 15 min)
200 FREESTYLE (15 min)
200 IM (1 swimmer completes 50yds of each competitive stroke - FLY / BACK / BREAST /FREE) (15 min)
50 FREESTYLE (5 min)
100 BUTTERFLY (10 min)
100 FREESTYLE (10 min)
500 FREESTYLE (20 min)
200 FREESTYLE RELAY (4 swimmers each swimming 50 yds freestyle) (10 min)
100 BACKSTROKE (10 min)
100 BREASTSTROKE (10 min)
400 FREESTYLE RELAY (4 swimmers each swimming 100 yds freestyle) (20 min)
There are 170 points possible (if race has at least 5 swimmers), so 86 team points wins a dual meet.
