Congratulations are in order for Madeline Lundell and Samuel Forero!!! Maddie and Sam were our two Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Scholar Leaders for 2024! Great food, family, company, and weather were all there in our celebration of these two model students. We wish them well next year and beyond as they are promoted to the high school level!
In Mr. Hurlburt's classes, our students used their NGSS-based skill set to propose and design solutions for urban heat islands.
Sgt Phillip Paulsen helped the Starbase crew finish building the E-Hot Rod this week! Nice job!
To celebrate the end of standardized testing and the signs of summer coming soon, we had ourselves a week full of spirit and fun at EGMS! Check out the pics from Jersey Day, Decades Day, Twinning Day, and School Colors Day!
EGMS students were demonstrating the 5 C's in Mr. Berardy's space while engineering with K'Nex, designing 3D environments with Tinkercad, and collaborating for their Intro to Theater class.

The students of EGMS took an initiative to support our "three 'B's" by creating signs to communicate expectations on how to be human. Truth be told, I think a lot of these messages should go beyond the hallways of EGMS to remind all of us about being kind to others... nothing is more important than that! Check out and see what the students of EGMS had to say!
Special thanks to the teachers who are making it happen everyday at EGMS! Another special thanks to the EGMS PTO who went out of their way to celebrate our amazing teachers this week! Check out some of the fun ideas the PTO put together for the teachers' snack day, where they let them know how much they "meme" to the community. Well played, very "punny"!
Thanks again to East Granby Youth Services (EGYS) for stopping by with the therapy dogs again. Our students and adults appreciate the love and support! Rusty was a fan favorite this time around.
The 6th graders made cinnamon French toast as part of their egg unit. This room always smells good when they're cooking!
