First, congratulations to the MS Bands and Choruses as they all received a GOLD rating at Fantastic Festivals on May 31! Congratulations on all of your hard work! On June 3, the Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy (TRLC) presented an Outdoor Education Day with all of our grade 6 students. It was a gorgeous day for students to participate in an outdoor on-site field trip! With the help of Brian Kleinman, owner of Riverside Reptiles, and TRLC High School interns, 6th graders did some fun activities outside of the MS commons, on the MS fields, and at the pond! Many thanks to the TRLC, Mr. Kleinman, and Mr. Dorr for putting this science-based opportunity together the sixth graders!
Mr. Fusco's 7th grade ELA classes had an East Granby Public Library (EGPL) book tasting! Many thanks to Amy Thompson from EGPL who piqued the reading interests of our 7th graders by creating a "bistro" atmosphere with checkered tablecloths and book samplings from the Nutmeg 2025 Middle Level and Intermediate Level Nominees list at each of the tables. Our students in 7th grade are definitely more ready to enjoy reading over the summer!
