We are so excited to have a "Queen's tears" bromeliad blooming in the greenhouse! This Billbergia nutans is what is called an epiphytic bromeliad -- a tropical plant from South America that gets its moisture and nutrients from the air, not through roots. The blossoms are subtle and gorgeous! At first glance, the plant looks like an untidy grass, but look closer....

7th graders in school and at home were doing a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout during Mr. Ziff's Grade 7 PE class.
Students and faculty had a blast for a good cause on December 11, 2020. EGMS raised $157 from donations in just one day!!!
EGMS Students did an amazing job gathering food and money for those in need in our community! Our winners, as announced right before Thanksgiving break:
In second place, Mr. Langan, with a total of 255 items and dollars...
and in first place, for a Seventh Grade sweep, is Mrs. Klucznik!!! Her homeroom contributed 150 items and $326 dollars.
In Mr. LeBlanc's 6th Grade PE class, students were tasked with creating a game and presenting it to their classmates. Distance learners were involved as well!
